Around 40% Medicines Are Fake in Pakistan: World Health Organization

Islamabad: A latest World Health Organization (WHO) report has revealed that around 30-40% medicines are fake on Pakistani Medical Stores. Reports said that almost all types of Forged Drugs are selling in all over Pakistan. WHO Report also ranks Pakistan on 13th number among those countries who produce Fake medicines.

These fake medicines are available for cure of From Flu to cancer. Pakistani public use Almost 77% of health budget on purchase of medicines. Sale of these fake medicines is spreading multiple Diseases in our country. Almost 33 people have been died in recent few days due to a cough syrup. Though Government banned Tyno Syrup in Punjab, still government is unable to control this new scandal.

A large amount of these false medicines are producing in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan. Research shows that there either these fake medicines couldn’t improve health or they harm patients
