Spain Asks Muslims to Adopt Christianity for Citizenship
Spain: Spain government has ordered forceful conversion of
Muslims to Christianity to those seek citizenship in the country. This
decision came upon as a result of agreement between the Catholic Church
and the Spanish government on the pressure exerted by the extremists
Christians in the country.
Immigration authorities have introduced special forms for the Muslims who seek citizenship in Spain. They are forced to convert to the religion. It is liable upon every Muslim applicant to fill in the form. In Spain reside people from various countries including Mauritius, Lebanon, Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and Pakistan.
It is a deliberate attempt aimed to disturb Muslims. In the past two weeks, over 2,000 Muslims have left the country owing to the strict conditions.
It is pertinent here to mention that before too, several attractive
offers have had been presented by the Christians to convert the Arabs
but however they failed to provoke any. Therefore, the extremists came
upon with such step, involving the will of the government.
Attractive packages and relaxations are being offered to the Muslims
for the procedure. Those liable would get various facilities that had
had not been availed by the previous migrant turned citizens. Also,
previous qualification and criminal records will also be check upon
before granting of citizenship. Islamic organizations in Spain have
strongly criticized the decision. Majority of the Muslim population
reside in Barcelona city of Spain.

A Local Leader of Islamic Organization Told Media that No Muslims hasn’t left Islam.
A report released by one of the newspaper from Al-Jazzier states
that the converted ‘Christians ‘shall only be considered for citizenship
by the local immigration authorities. The announcement came after
Spain’s President Mariano Rajoy and Maria Anthony, head of the Catholic
Church Council entered into an agreement. The decision has been
supported by the opposition party of the country.
